This is a great series and I had a lot of fun reading this book. The setting is quaint and Griffin paints a beautiful picture of the fictional town of Grandiegow, Scotland. I love the strong family ties of the Armstrong brothers and the snappy dialogue between handsome hero Ramsay and our heroine Kit. It wasn't love at first sight as so often happens in romance these days, but a slow awareness as the two get to know each other and realize that their first impressions of one another were way off the mark. Kit is all about her matchmaking business which Ramsay is determined to undermine... at least at first. Kit has to fight her way into being accepted into this small, close knit community but once they get to know her, they find she's a treasure worth keeping.I like the way this author writes and the idea of a matchmaker in today's world isn't as crazy as it sounds. I was able to fall in love with the characters and enjoyed being along for the ride as these two very different people find their way to romance. Fast paced with a healthy does of humor, Some Like It Scottish is a great addition to a new and wonderful series. I'm already looking forward to book four... the Accidental Scot coming December 1, 2015.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Fell in love with Ramsay ArmstrongBy KB, the storiologistI was fortunate to receive an advance review copy of Some Like It Scottish, but I've also bought an eBook copy so I can reread it and maintain it in my keeper collection because this is a delightful story.First off, I'm a sucker for matchmaker stories, and Kit's drive to expand her business to the "real men" of Scotland is fun and intriguing. But I have to say Ramsay Armstrong won my heart from the very first chapter. Of course if you've read her other books you'll instantly recognize the Armstrong family, one of the stalwart fisherman families of Gandigow. Ramsay is the teasing quipping younger brother and I absolutely loved the byplay between him and his brothers. I enjoyed the town's involvement with the couples - Deydie and her pals at Quilting Central are a hoot.Some Like it Scottish is not a tear-jerker like her first book. There's a lot of humor in this particular story but there's some poignant scenes as well, especially later in the book. All in all this another enjoyable read from Ms. Griffin.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Some Like it ScottishBy NJust finished "Some Like it Scottish" last night and now I'm so sad. It was a wonderful book and the charactors interaction was perfect. I do have to admit that Deydie surprised me by taking to Kit so quickly, it was great!. Now why am I sad if the book was so good. . . . . I now have to wait 5 months to read about Max and Pippa, and 5 months is a very long time in a readers world especially when the books are so well written. So I guess I will have to get out "To Scotland with Love" and "Meet Me in Scotland" and start over. The only thing I missed was more of the first charactors, yes Cait was there but missed Emma and Doc. I would like to see more of the previous charactors brought back into the new books because I miss not knowing how they are doing, they are so well written you almost feel like they are friends you haven't seen in a while.
