I'd prefer a hard-back bind rather than the spiral personally, but it's not that big of a deal! I used the Llewellyn's 2015 large wall calendar throughout the last year and really fell in love with Llewellyn's! I really enjoy the moon phases and signs included, though I do wish they had a bit more information -- specifically more about the colors! I actually ended up cutting and pasting the Color of the Day information from the old wall calendar into my new 2016 datebook, lol. Really though, those things are rather trivial, and overall I am very happy with my Llewellyn's 2016 Witches' Datebook! )O(6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.Handy and InterestingBy Sherry McThis is my second datebook and I will be buying them every year from now on because of all the information they have as well as being a datebook calendar.This is a spiral bound book with 144 pages. It’s 8 x 5.6 x 0.4 inches so it will fit down into most purses. I can get it into my smaller cross-body purse. The illustrations by Kathleen Edwards are always interesting and make the datebook a little more pleasing to the eye.There’s an introduction to tell you how to use the datebook and there’s an appendix in the back with a list of daily flowers, color correspondences, lunar phases, moon’s signs, 2016 eclipses, 2016 full moons, a planetary retrogrades chart for 2016, plus a one page moon void-of-course data chart for 2016. Three pages for notes are also in the back and I wish there were more.The datebook is laid out in a weekly grid. Each day has pertinent information listed such as moon phase, color of the day, planting or harvesting day, moon-void-of-course, etc. You have about a 1 x 4.5 inch rectangular space to write notes, appointments, etc., for each day. I enjoy the articles they have at the beginning as well as on each page of dates there is a photo usually with a recipe, information about the different moons, prayers and other interesting things. As a beginner these little snippets are nice to read.The only quibble I have is I wish there was more note pages in the back and it would be nice to have the option of a larger datebook for those who need more space to write daily notes in the weekly grid vs having to go to the back and use those note pages. Since there’s only 3 pages there it would never be enough space for a whole year. A lot more efficient and helpful to have all your notes on one page.See all 221 customer reviews...
